My name is Lauren, I am a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and owner of AYA Mental Health. I offer psychiatric care including thorough assessments, diagnosis, and medication management services to those ages six and older. My goal with this practice is to start from the beginning, listen, and learn from you and/or your child so that we can work together to meet the goals that we set for treatment.
I am available to see patients in-person at Dragonfly Counseling Services in Maysville, KY until the end of this year. At that time, I will be relocating to a private office space in downtown Maysville. I am also available via telehealth to patients living in Ohio and Kentucky. I offer a free fifteen-minute consultation to see if we are a good fit and determine what appointment style works best for you.
What to Expect
Assessment
During your initial appointment you can expect a compassionate, supportive, and judgment-free environment. Intake appointments are typically one hour long. I will take the time to understand your unique concerns, history, and goals through an in-depth conversation about your mental health, current symptoms and stressors, medical background, and lifestyle. This visit will include discussing past treatments and any challenges you’re facing. My goal is to meet you where you are and provide the guidance and care you need to feel your best.
Treatment
Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, therapy, and lifestyle modifications. Following the initial assessment, as we continue to work together, we will meet for regular follow-up appointments to assess progress toward goals and effectiveness of current treatment plan. Once we are closer to our goals, we can move to medication management appointments which are often fifteen-minute appointments. I offer flexible scheduling and an online portal, so that I am available to you should you have questions or needs between appointments.
Community
Community is at the heart of why I chose a career in mental health. It is my intention to create a safe space where everyone feels welcome and inspired to be themselves. As I grow it is my plan to use the space that I’m working to create to host community events and meetings for the public in order to foster connections within the community and help bridge gaps in care for those in need.
Pricing and Insurance
I believe everyone deserves access to quality mental health care, which is why I’m committed to transparent and fair pricing. I accept private pay, private insurance, Medicaid, and some Medicare in order to provide flexible options for care. For specific rates and coverage details, please feel free to contact me so that I can help you understand your options.
